A video discussion with Dr. John Lipsky, Distinguished Scholar at Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and former First Managing Director of the IMF; Professor Dr. Andreas Dombret, Global Senior Advisor at Oliver Wyman and former Board Member of Deutsche Bundesbank; and Sigmar Gabriel, fomer Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister. The discussion is moderated by Steve Sokol, American Council on Germany. The panel discusses how stark the recession because of the pandemic will be, what kind of measures are currently taken to manage the crisis, and how these compare to the reactions to the financial crisis of 2008.
