German-American Conference: “Holding Together in Times of Crisis: A New Era for Transatlantic Relations”

Monday, June 13, 2022 - Tuesday, June 14, 2022

Berlin

Since the last in-person German-American Conference in 2019, the world has dramatically changed. The priorities and concerns of 2019 seem less relevant in 2022. We are experiencing a tectonic shift unlike anything we have seen since German unification and the collapse of the Soviet Union more than 30 years ago. War on the European continent and global crises from the pandemic to economic instability to climate change have brought the necessity and relevance of the transatlantic partnership into the spotlight.

With new governments in Washington, DC and Berlin, there are new opportunities for transatlantic cooperation. The alliance between the United States and Europe, particularly with Germany, can craft a blueprint for tackling common challenges. This moment in history provides an opportunity to usher in a new era for the German-American relationship. Join the American Council on Germany and Atlantik-Brücke for two days of policy discussions on the economic, political, and security issues shaping the transatlantic agenda.

The German-American Conference is hosted jointly by Atlantik-Brücke and the American Council on Germany.

This event is aimed at members, Young Leaders alumni and New Bridge alumni of Atlantik-Brücke.
