On February 23, Germans will head to the polls in a snap election triggered by the collapse of the traffic light coalition. The election comes in a time of political upheaval and emerging security threats around the globe. And even the much-discussed ostensibly domestic policy issues in this election cycle, like the economy and immigration, cannot be resolved without international cooperation.

So the foreign policy stakes are high – and the world will be watching closely as a new Bundestag takes shape in Berlin. With four current members of parliament, we want to shed light on the key foreign and security policy issues in this election campaign and how the four parties of the democratic center plan to tackle them.
