The fourth event in the Transatlantic Tech Dialogues series will take place as a hybrid event (on-site & broadcast on Zoom) and will focus on “Prospects for Transatlantic Climate Change Policy after the Federal Election – What Can the Tech Sector Contribute?”
Our guests are:
The discussion will be moderated by Britta Weddeling, VP Head of Communications & External Affairs, Marvel Fusion.
Shortly before the German federal elections, the climate crisis is one of the most hotly contested issues in the election campaign. While new climate targets have been set at the European level, President Biden has also prioritized the issue on the other side of the Atlantic and has already launched several climate initiatives. Time and again, there is also discussion about digitalization in climate protection. At the end of the month, the first meeting of the new EU-US Trade and Tech Council will take place, where climate and green tech will also be debated.
The discussion will focus on the role of the tech sector in climate protection and the panel will discuss the following questions: Where is the greatest potential in terms of energy efficiency, reusability and recycling, and how can the climate-damaging effects of digital technologies be reduced? What political measures can we expect after the German elections and, above all, how can innovative technologies strengthen transatlantic cooperation on climate protection?
This event is being held in cooperation with HP.
