Jan Hatzius is Goldman Sachs’ chief economist and head of Global Economics and Market Research. He is also a member of the Firmwide Conduct and Operational Risk Committee as well as the Global Investment Research Client and Business Standards Committee. Jan has worked for Goldman Sachs since 1997. Following a two year spell in Frankfurt, he transfered to the companies’ New York office in 1999. Jan was named managing director in 2004 and partner in 2008. Apart from his activities at Goldman Sachs, Jan is also a member of the economic advisory panel of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Congressional Budget Office.
