“Is the West Falling Apart?”
Professor Dr. Heinrich August Winkler talks with Friedrich Merz, Chairman, Atlantik-Brücke, about his new book “Zerbricht der Westen?” (“Is the West falling apart?”). The historian ties his most recent work to his earlier books “The Long Road West” and his four-volume publication “History of the West”. He highlights the current challenges of the joint project “The West” – the reprioritization of American foreign policy interests, Brexit, and the successes of right-wing populists – and asks how we should proceed.
