Less than two months ahead of the U.S. presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump are virtually tied in the electoral college projections. Either way, the winning candidate could face a divided government as a result of the simultaneous congressional elections. While the race for a majority in the House of Representatives is as close as the presidential race, Republicans are favored to gain control of the Senate.
